Our Impact...
The sad reality is that child sexual abuse is one of the most prevalent health risks children face. According to the CDC, more than 1 in 10 children are sexually abused before age 18. The aftereffects are numerous and can last a lifetime. Revved Up Kids works to change this reality one child, one family, and one community at a time.
As the only Atlanta-based nonprofit focused solely on prevention, Revved Up Kids has equipped more than 50,000 children and teens with vital life skills that keep them safer. Children are empowered to recognize unsafe people and situations and respond effectively if they encounter a predator, including self-defense. Teens learn important situational and interpersonal risk assessment and self-defense skills to avoid and escape sexual assault, trafficking, and relationship violence. We strongly believe it is the collective responsibility of all adults to ensure safe childhoods. Toward that end, Revved Up Kids also offers programming that equips adults to be better protectors
